Beyond the Beach: A More Mindful Approach to Fashion and Lifestyle
Our love for beach life goes beyond what we wear. It is about the places we return to, the water that draws us in, and the choices we make when we leave the sand behind.
At Omni Beach Life, our partnerships with 4ocean and Ecodrive, non-profit sustainability organizations with a mission to remove waste from the oceans, are part of a bigger conversation: how can we enjoy the lifestyle we love while being more thoughtful about the world around us? For us, that conversation connects ocean care, the materials in our wardrobes, and a more considered approach to shopping.
When customers visit the Omni Beach Life website they can review our dashboard of the project and our verified performance.
We believe progress starts with paying attention, asking better questions, and turning good intentions into everyday habits.
1. Our Clean Oceans Project: Caring for What We Love

The ocean is at the heart of our beach lifestyle. Our Clean Oceans Project puts that connection at the center of the conversation, inviting our community to think about ocean care as part of beach life, not something separate from it.
Evgenia is an amazing woman who helped to plan and lead the launch of the project. She was photographed wearing this Omni Beach Life Clean Oceans Project bikini on the runway at Miami Swim Week. The project reflects our commitment to sustainability: sponsorship, leadership, execution, eductating and inspiring others, and motivating them to join us!
In addition to regular monthly sponsorship of 4ocean and Ecodrive, we pull an additional pound of plastic from the ocean for every bikini sold. Each of our events includes a beach clean up day to which we invite the public to join us and take home free merchandise. Each event also includes a roundtable discussion on how we can work together to promote sustainability.
That mindset can start with simple habits: taking everything you bring back off the beach, choosing reusable items when practical, and being mindful of the waste you leave behind. When joining a local cleanup, follow the organizer’s guidance and leave hazardous materials to trained handlers.
Our hope is to build a community that values the coast beyond a beautiful photograph. Loving the beach means making room for caring for it, too.
2. Recycled Fabrics: Looking Beyond the Label

A more thoughtful wardrobe begins with curiosity about materials. What is a garment made from? How much of that material is recycled? And what information is available to help you understand the claim?
Isla is a passionate advocate for ocean sustainability. This picture of her in the Selvagem bikini from the Omni Beach Life Brazilian Rainforest collection was taken during a beach clean up in Miami. OBL bikinis are made from 100% recycled fabrics.
We want to encourage that kind of curiosity. Rather than treating one material description as a complete answer, consider materials alongside fit, care needs, construction, and how often you expect to wear the piece. Our ambition is that consumers actively pursue sustainable products as a requirement in their search.
3. Quality, Durability, and Conscientious Consumerism

Fashion can be a form of self-expression without becoming a constant search for something new. Conscientious consumerism means slowing down enough to ask: Do I love this? Does it fit my life? Will I reach for it again?
Quality and durability are worth considering before a purchase. Look closely at construction, stitching, fabric feel, and fit. A piece should work for the way you actually move, relax, and spend time outdoors, not just for a single photograph.
Even if fabrics are recycled, if the product is not high quality with durable construction and enduring style, it will still end up as waste after 2 or 3 uses.
Bella is an powerful influencer promoting conscientious consumerism over fast fashion, and it shows. She is pictured in the OBL Orquidea bikini at The Talent House during Miami Swim Week. In addition to being constructed with recycled fabrics, each piece is hand made with double stitching featuring the timeless classic cuts of Brazilian swimwear.
The goal is a more intentional relationship with what you own: choosing carefully, appreciating what serves you, and resisting purchases that do not.
Join the Cause: Make Mindful Beach Living Your Own
You do not have to change everything at once to begin. Bring a reusable bottle on your next beach day. Ask a question about a garment’s materials. Give a favorite piece the care it needs. Look for a community initiative you can support in a way that feels meaningful to you.
We invite you to join Omni Beach Life in making ocean care and thoughtful consumption part of your beach lifestyle. Follow our journey, share the habits that work for you, and help keep the conversation moving from inspiration toward action.
Let’s enjoy the beach, love what we wear, and be more intentional about the footprint of our everyday choices.
